Goldmine Project Consultants: A vision-driven design studio shaping modern spaces with classical thoughtful detail.
Some journeys begin with a blueprint. Others begin with a dream. For Goldmine Project Consultants, it began with both and what adds to the package, a remarkable ability to turn imagination into immersive, luxurious, human-centric spaces.
Founded in 1989 by Mr. Ketan Sheth, today one of India's most respected architectural and interior design minds, Goldmine's story is not just about scaling an enterprise. It is a story of grit, intuition, timeless aesthetics, and a rare artistic sensitivity that has come to define some of the country's most celebrated luxury interiors.
The Humble Beginning of a Grand Vision
Goldmine's first project was a tiny start to a greater vision; a modest bedroom that earned Mr. Sheth just ₹3,500. Yet that project planted a seed: the belief that every space, no matter its scale, deserves intention, integrity, and imagination.
From there, the climb was far from smooth. Each assignment brought new challenges, higher expectations, and tougher terrains. But with relentless quality, emotional commitment, and an eye that noticed what most would overlook, the studio scaled up organically, project by project, detail by detail, year by year.
Today, over three decades later, Goldmine stands tall as a multi-disciplinary, luxury-focused design and build firm admired for its finesse, sharp detailing, and experiential approach to space-making.
The Heart Behind the Craft
Behind the firm's enduring legacy is the synergy of two creative forces.
Mr. Ketan Sheth, Founder, Director & Principal Designer, a perfectionist whose design language merges classical intuition with modern practicality. Known for his deep understanding of materials, spatial functionality, and seamless integration of technology, he believes a space must feel right long before it looks right.
Alongside him is Mrs. Manisha Sheth, Creative Stylist and Co-Director, whose aesthetic clarity and design instinct give Goldmine its visual identity and warmth. Her presence in the studio is more than supportive; she is the creative pulse that shapes the firm's in-house style and elevates each project with her nuanced understanding of color, balance, and lifestyle needs.
Together, they have built not just a firm, but a philosophy.
A Niche Like No Other
Every designer has a signature; Mr. Sheth has a passion for the rather unusual one.
He is deeply fascinated by curtains, their fall, their movement, their texture, their ability to transform the mood of a room. He plays with fabrics, colors, and layering techniques to create softness, drama, height, and visual rhythm. In an industry where many chase monumental, loud statements, he finds luxury in the quiet poetry of textiles.
It is this obsessive attention to detail, even in the smallest elements, that sets Goldmine apart in India's luxury design landscape.
"The Name That Found Him
Goldmine's nomenclature carries a story so serendipitous that it feels cinematic.
As a young architectural enthusiast, Ketan once passed a villa in Juhu; an elegant structure that instantly captured his imagination. Its architecture enthralled him so deeply that he silently wished he could one day work on it.
Life, in its charming way, listened.
Years later, he got the opportunity to design that very villa. And even as ownership changed and the villa's name was eventually dropped, Ketan never let go of the emotional bond, he had formed with it.
He held on to the building.
He held on to the memory.
And in gratitude, he adopted its name for his own practice by transforming Sheth Associates into Goldmine Project Consultants.
A name born out of fascination, gratitude, and destiny."
Luxury That Lives, Breathes & Connects
For Goldmine, luxury has never been about opulence. It is about experience. A space that looks stunning but doesn't live well is, to them, incomplete.
Their design philosophy rests on two pillars:
Functionality that feels effortless
&
Aesthetic refinement that stands the test of time
Their work spans luxury residences, corporate environments, hospitality spaces, education campuses, healthcare, retail, and banquets, each project reflecting an intuitive understanding of human behavior, comfort, and lifestyle.
Whether it's the play of light, the flow of circulation, or the material palette, every element is chosen to nurture well-being. Their spaces don't shout luxury, they whisper it.
The Human Approach Behind Timeless Design
In an industry that often chases trends, Goldmine chooses something more lasting: relevance to human life. To them, design is not about decorating space, but about shaping experiences that uplift the spirit.
Natural light, fresh air, sensory textures, grounded proportions, they believe architecture should quietly support life, not overpower it.
From advising young designers to design with empathy, to shaping industry standards as Chairman of IIID - Mumbai Regional Chapter, Mr. Sheth continues to influence India's modern design culture.
A Legacy That Continues to Grow
Three decades on, since 1989, Goldmine is still evolving, still experimenting, still learning. But what remains unchanged is their heart. Their ethics. And their dedication to building meaningful, emotionally resonant spaces that stand tall through time.
And as the firm moves forward, its foundation remains rooted in gratitude, to the journey, to the clients, and to that villa in Juhu that unknowingly named a legacy.
Their Signature Projects
Let\'s explore some of Goldmine's most iconic projects - the spaces that define their design philosophy, reveal their craftsmanship, and showcase the luxury experience they are admired for.
PROJECT 1: SURAT - ENDO EXPERIENCE CENTRE
Where Light Shapes Experience
In the thriving design district of Vesu, the Endo Experience Centre stands as a modern temple of light. Designed by Goldmine Project Consultants, this showroom is crafted not as a display space but as an immersive lighting journey.
Reflecting the ENDO brand's Japanese precision and glare-free technology, the centre embodies calm luxury through a neutral palette, marble accents, and refined textures. The ground level showcases lighting systems, while the upper experiential floor brings them to life through thoughtfully curated zones, a bedroom, cosmetic studio, apparel section, and living area, each demonstrating how light transforms emotion and functionality.
Statement elements like the ribbed marble feature wall, quilted surfaces, and a bold red lounge chair punctuate the space with quiet drama. With adaptable layouts for workshops and client interactions, the centre becomes a collaborative hub, not just a showroom.
The Surat ENDO Centre is ultimately a fusion of innovation and design sensitivity, proving how Goldmine elevates technology into an experience that touches the senses.
PROJECT 2: ONE AVIGHNA RESIDENCE
Luxury That Breathes Culture and Calm
In one of Central Mumbai's most prestigious addresses, this 2,500 sq. ft. residence at One Avighna reflects Goldmine's signature blend of elegance, cultural nuance, and emotional warmth.
The home opens with a serene entrance featuring fluted PU panels and a calming Buddha vignette. Subtle spiritual accents, the Deepstambh Lotus chandelier and brass Kalpavruksha, embed meaning without overwhelming the aesthetic.
The living and dining areas flow with marble flooring, wooden rafters, blue-panelled walls, and imported furniture, creating an environment of refined comfort. The double-height deck, complete with a sculptural metal fairy and an open jacuzzi, adds a touch of artistic indulgence.
Each bedroom carries an identity of its own:
- A tranquil master suite with beige tones and a Yantra Chakra feature.
- An airy nature-inspired daughter's room with soft blues and greens.
- A grounded, textured son's room with warm leather finishes.
This residence showcases Goldmine's gift for merging luxury with soul, creating a home that feels personal, curated, and timeless.
PROJECT 3: SURAT RESIDENCE
Minimal Palette, Maximum Impact
This sprawling 7,500 sq. ft. Surat home is a testament to Goldmine's mastery in restraint. Designed within a strict palette of white, grey, and black, the residence blends modern European classic aesthetics with contemporary comfort.
The entrance sets a refined tone through white marble with metal inlays and a cleanly detailed PU door. The living area continues the monochrome elegance with marble flooring, CNC-cut wall panels, and custom lighting that anchors the space with quiet sophistication.
The dining zone features an imported table, a sculptural chandelier, and a seamlessly designed crockery-wash unit proving that minimalism can carry richness when curated thoughtfully.
Each bedroom interprets the tri-color story differently:
- The master suite layers marble, PU, and leather with soft gold accents.
- The son's room adds youthful character with grey marble and CNC leather panels.
- The guest room introduces a refreshing sea-green classic palette.
Supporting spaces, the theatre, pooja room, office, kitchen, and powder room, maintain the same disciplined elegance while offering their own distinctive character.
This project exemplifies Goldmine's ability to elevate simplicity into sophistication, transforming limitations into a luxurious, cohesive design narrative.
